"Harriet's Horrible Dream" Teaser

Harriet’s Horrible Dream

Anthony Horowitz

Horror

Nightmares are always a trouble to someone, especially a child. Harriet falls asleep, seemingly gently, but drifts into a nightmare far beyond her imagination. However, this nightmare was unordinary. This nightmare stood out, as if it was real, rather than a figment of her imagination. Struggling to free herself from the people who are man-handling her, she screams, and wakes up. Was this really a dream?

The concept behind “Harriet’s Horrible Dream” is a very common concept; a dream that seems supernaturally real. This short story stands out to me because of Anthony’s simple language. On top of that, Anthony adds creativity into the climax of this story, making this story much like an actual horror story.
